What to do when you are bored

Do you ever find yourself with free time on your hands and have no idea what to do in that time? Do you end up sitting in front of the Tv, eating takeout on your sofa? Well here is a list of things to do for you! Hopefully you can find something you will enjoy doing that can fill your free time on this list!:)

Get creative! A great way to fill your free time is to create a peice of artwork or writing. It isn’t just something fun to do, you can also sell the work for extra money on the side, gift it to someone or use it as décor if it is artwork!

Discover a new hobby! This is a economical use of your time as it doesn’t just fill the time for now, it also gives you a task to do in the future when you have time on your hands. Like in the previous point, you may be able to make money of something you love!

Hang out with your friends and family! Not only does it fill your free time, it also means you get to spend time with the people who mean the most to you. It could be playing a board game, going out into a town or city near you or even catching up on facetime or something like Kahoot (which have been used more frequently dew to the times we are in).Whatever it is, this is a great way to get back onto the social scene after the past few years we had!

Finish your homework or work! This may be the obvious option you are avoiding but trust me, getting it done helps you in the long run as you won’t have to squeeze it in at a time your schedule is busier if you do it now. So what are you waiting for? Get started on those assignments!

Try out new recipes! Trying out new recipes is a great use of your time because not only is their a possibility you will find something you think is delicious that you wouldn’t have found out otherwise, you also have the chance to get the cooking you have to do that week out of the way. The best thing you can do for yourself is to do some fun and easy multitasking!

Tidy your room! This task may seem daunting but it is easier to get it done right away then having it looming in your mind for a month. It will leave you in an endless cycle of being unproductive because of the fact your room is messy and your room being messy because your unproductive. Some people do function better with a messy room but I can guarantee walking through a room full of unhygienic things is not on your bucket list!

Complete the tasks you have been putting off! This is similar to the previous points that have been said except this is a more umbrella term. This is the time to do anything that you you have been procrastinating about. Take advantage of this time and go grind!

Read a book or exercise! These task exercise your mind and body respectively(the former for the former, latter for the latter)and help you live a healthy lifestyle. To monetize the benefits you can receive when partaking in these tasks you could also read one of your favorite books or exercise by doing one of your favorite sports. This means as well as reeking the benefits of doing these activities, you are also really enjoying them!

Plan the rest of your week or the week ahead! Planning means you will be the most productive you’ve ever been as you are not spending precious minutes in your day wondering what you will do next. I recommend creating a to do list or a loose timetable if you do not want a set timetable. This is because you will still be able to know which tasks you can do next while not having a strict regime that will make you feel bad about yourself if you swerve slightly off it. All you need is a phone or a paper and pen (depending on how you are creating it)and you are set on the path to productivity!

Shop or browse online! Whether you are willing to spend money or not, going online is a great way to use up your time while doing something(most) people like. I can be a break or a way to update your surroundings or wardrobe. While most of the things I have listed have multiple benefits to your health or bank account but you can do some things just because they are fun!

Go on a walk! Walks are a relaxing exercise you can do that has multiple benefits. Firstly, it is scientifically proven that being outside can reduce your stress levels, lift up your mood and many more. It also means you can exercise too. To receive even more benefits you could take a walk to the shops or a place you need to be or walk your dog. The possibilities are endless!

I hope you were able to find something to do with the free time you have on your hands somewhere in this list! Also, comment any more things you can do when you are bored:).
